The Low Cost Travel Group features in the
latest Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100
League Table published this weekend. The
league table ranks Britain’s one hundred
private companies with the fastest growing
sales over the past three years.
The Low Cost Travel Group which is number 20
on the League Table was founded in 2004 by
Chief Executive Paul Evans and is made up of
3 main trading businesses selling hotels,
flights and transfers through 3,500 travel
agents, tour operators and directly to the
consumer. Sales grew 127% from £4.3m in 2005
to £50.7m in 2008. Pre audited sales for the
year to 31st October 2009 are £109m, growth
of 115%, with holidays and transfers booked
for 1.2m passengers.
The group employs over 150 staff, including
a dedicated trade support and customer
service centre team who provide 24 hour in
resort service.
The lowcostholidays.com website was launched
in 2009 and is listed in the top 15 travel
agency websites in the UK by Hitwise,
attracting over 9 million unique visitors in
the last 12 months. Using state of the art
superfast technology, it creates over 80
million holidays every day and is faster
than 95% of all other websites in the UK
